The mission of the Oromo Community of Minnesota (OCM) is to provide integrated programs
and services to assist Oromo Community in Minnesota to become self-sufficent, and
to create vibrant, sustainable, and choehesive community while promoting Oromo social,
cultural and historical values and ethics.
Beyond providing numerous services, the OCM has been active in advocating on behalf
of refugees and immigrants, as well as educating the surrounding communities about
the Oromo people, culture and traditions, as well as the Oromo quest for national
self determination.
